Meet Amerissa - Antioch Community High School
May 11 2026 | By: Britt Anderson Seniors
Amerissa’s senior session was so much fun. A proud Antioch Community High School cheerleader, she brought such energy, confidence, and natural warmth to her photos. Her vibrant personality and relaxed spirit made the session feel fun and effortless, and it was a pleasure capturing her exactly as she is.
As she prepares to head to Indiana University this fall, Amerissa is stepping into her next chapter with excitement and grace. We loved documenting this special milestone and creating images that reflect both her accomplishments and the bright future ahead.
Summer is one of the most popular times for senior portraits because of the warm weather, lush greenery, and beautiful sunsets. Scheduling your session before the school year begins also means you'll have your images ready for graduation announcements, yearbook deadlines, social media, and prints for family and friends.
Golden hour—the hour before sunset—is my favorite time to photograph seniors. The soft light creates flattering skin tones and gives every image a warm, timeless look that never goes out of style.
Whether you're involved in sports, music, theater, agriculture, or another activity, your senior session should tell your story. I love incorporating uniforms, instruments, letter jackets, or meaningful locations to create portraits that celebrate everything you've accomplished throughout high school.
These details transform your senior gallery from beautiful portraits into memories you'll look back on for years to come.
Planning Your Own Senior Session
If you're a member of the Class of 2027 and looking for a senior photographer in southeastern Wisconsin or northern Illinois, I'd love to help create a session that's completely personalized to you. Whether you envision a modern downtown vibe, peaceful nature scenery, athletic portraits, or a combination of all three, we'll work together to design a session that reflects your personality and style.
The best time to schedule senior portraits is between June and October. This gives you beautiful weather, stunning evening light, and plenty of time to receive your images before yearbook and graduation deadlines.
Most seniors bring several outfits to create a variety of looks throughout their session. I'll help you choose locations that complement each outfit so your gallery has plenty of variety.
Athlete senior portraits are one of my favorite things to photograph. Whether you play football, volleyball, baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, or participate in another activity, we'll create images that celebrate this important part of your high school experience.
I photograph high school seniors throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, including Antioch, Kenosha, Lake Geneva, Burlington, Pleasant Prairie, Twin Lakes, and the surrounding communities.
